We are excited to welcome all of our guests to to Georgia! We appreciate all of you making the trip to our destination wedding and joining us for a day we have long awaited. Below is the FAQ section with more details about our event. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We want to provide information early to help you plan. Some details may change as we finalize our itinerary. This website will provide the most up-to-date information regarding our event.
1. Does your wedding have a theme?
Our theme is Class of 2002- Reunion Prom! We will be taking it back to the 90s and early 00s specifically with a modern twist. We encourage you to dust off your old prom photos and try to recreate your dress! Hated prom? Do it all over and revise it your way- and let’s make new memories! We know our guests went to prom many different years so please feel free to bring your high school nostalgia and make the theme your own!
2. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The event is rustic glam. We want to see all of your best prom looks but the event is outdoors and some areas of the space are grassy so dust off your 90s platforms and wedges and leave those stiletto heels at home.
3. What will the weather be like this time of year?
The average high temperature in Georgia in October is 74 degrees. The average low temperature is 55 degrees. We anticipate you to be very comfortable and for the weather to be warm enough so don’t worry about it being cold.
4. How far is the Hotel from the airport?
Our wedding is being held in Marietta, GA and we are still finalizing our hotel block selection at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Conference Center and Hotel. Marietta, GA is approximately 35 minutes drive from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. We advise you to rent a car because there are no public transportation options available. Please return to this website to book your room shortly.
5. Will the reception be indoors or outdoors?
We are hosting our reception at a Farmhouse Estate so please be prepared to enjoy the evening underneath the stars at our outdoor event. It is situated on a 15 acre estate with lots of natural beauty. Don’t forget to say hi to Gucci the Llama at the entrance of the estate.
6. What happens after the ceremony?
Our Nikkah ceremony was held on 2.22.22 in the presence of our immediate family. Our upcoming event is a reception and party.
7. Are there other wedding events I can attend?
Our main event is our Class of 2002 Reunion Prom formal event on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
We will likely be gathering informally to welcome our guests in the evening on Friday Oct 14, 2022 onsite at the Hotel for our guests convenience. Please be sure to pop in for a while after you have checked into your rooms at the Hotel.
Unlike some weddings, we welcome children as some of our most treasured guests. As such, we will be hosting an event dedicated to our youth and the young at heart on Sunday, Oct 16, 2022. Fell asleep before the reception? No Prom? Llama! Children will be invited to mingle with the animals on the farm for a petting zoo and horseback riding. We’ll have many more surprises in store for our children to enjoy. So if you were planning to politely decline your attendance because of the pesky kids, think again!
8. What should I do if I can’t make it?
We understand that many of our guests are traveling from out-of-state to attend our wedding. We know there are costs associated with attending such as the flight, hotel and car rental. And we’re not forgetting there is also the ongoing global pandemic. We postponed our wedding as far as we could to be mindful of COVID. Many of you haven’t had a vacation in years so we do appreciate your efforts if you do decide to attend. All of our guests are important to us so we hope you can make your best attempt to attend our special day. If you are unable to attend, please be sure to RSVP via the website or contact us personally. We would love to hear from you.
9. How do I get to the venue?
The reception is being held at 1901 Pair Road, Marietta, GA. The address to the Hotel is 500 Powder Springs Street, Marietta, GA 30064. The hotel is approximately 7 miles away from our venue.
Mielke Way Manor is accessible via rental car or via our complimentary shuttle service.
10. What time should I arrive?
The cocktail hour begins at 6 pm and the first pick-up time for the shuttle service is at 4 pm. Depending upon our guest count, please check the website frequently for any updates. This website will have the most up-to-date info about our event.
11. Where should guests park? Is parking free?
There is free parking available on-site at the event space but we encourage you to use our shuttle service for your convenience. We will be offering several shuttles and opening up sign-ups so you can be sure to take the ride with all your friends.
12. Are kids welcome?
Kids are absolutely welcome to this event! For those coming with kids, please let us know how we can best accommodate you!
13. Can I bring a date?
Please refer back to your invitations for the list of invited guests.
14. Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
For your convenience, a block of rooms will be reserved at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Conference Center and Hotel. We are still in the process of finalizing these accommodations.
15. When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

17. Will food and drinks be served at the reception?
Absolutely!
18. Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?
If any of our guests have special dietary restrictions, please let us know and we will make sure to accommodate everyone.
